Project Lunch Space: Daily Agenda

Today Was our last building day for our designs. Our group had already completed most of our objectives. all that was left was to make the cover for shade. However, that is not how the day started. First block was spent taking a required math test all juniors had to take. After first block, I stayed to finish the test. I finished 1/3 of the way through second block. Then I rejoined my group and us reorganized. Once our group started working we immediately started working on the cover. we first measured out the cloth. We then grabbed the staple gun and attached the cloth. Then Jacob and I started cutting the supports to hold up the cover. We had about 30 minutes left of second block so Jacob and I started working on the drafting poster. By the time we started second block was over.  Today We spent all three blocks building. This meant that we had to take advantage of the time and get as much done as possible. We started fo by getting all of our materials and setting them outside where we were last time. We then as a group assigned everyone a task. During first block, I worked with Nathan to finish building the big planter box. Nathan's job was to get all of the supports attached while I measured and got more of them cut. By the end of the first block, we managed to have two sides completed. However, by second block we ran into some problems. During second block I was on my own. I had to attach all of the support by myself.  The first thing I did was Gert all of the estimated pieces left to get cut. So throughout the second block, I managed to attach a whole side. The problem we ran into was that one of our drill's batteries died. So our entire group had to share one drill. So today my group had all of first and second block to build our design.   The day started off early for me. I came to school early and stopped by Vezinos class and helped him get ready for the day. I helped him by setting up all of the drill batteries to charge and I also went to the back of the school to pick up an extension cord for the power saw, and extra drill, and a couple of safety glasses. When I got together with the rest of the team our plan for today was to finish all of the planter boxes of our design. We first collected all of our material and decided to build outside because of the extra space. We then started measuring and cutting all the pieces of wood needed for the planter boxes. Tyler H, Tyler B, Nathan and I then constructed the planter boxes. Nathan and I then started to add the outer design to the bigger planter box. Today my team had to accomplish the planning stages of Project Lunch Space. So what my team and I planned to accomplish today was to assign roles to everyone, complete the individual designs, and start our own task. We started the morning by gathering together and assigned everyone their role. We then sat down and talked about the needs Rachel's design was accomplishing and the needs Camille's design was accomplishing and how we could combine them into one. During second block we then had to make blueprints of each section of the final design. Each one of us was assigned a section. I did the gazebo from a side view. While we were working someone came and brought pizza for the entire class. So everyone in the class was eating and working at the same time.
